Not just a handyman, your neighbor

Four Points Handyman (and Engineer) in Austin, TX
Four Points Austin Texas Handyman About
I have a formal education in engineering, and a love for tools, helping people, and solving problems. At this point in my career I don't get my hands dirty as often as I would like, so in 2016 I decided to start using more of those practical skills and opened Four Points Handyman.  I specialize in helping busy families take care of their homes.

I am a little different than the typical handyman.  I have a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master's degree in civil engineering from UCLA and am a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas (as well as Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Illinois).  I also spent 12 years traveling and working overseas, mainly in Africa and the Middle East.  If anything, that experience has taught me about adaptability and creativity.

I've also enjoyed making furniture and in the last several years have started to specialize in wine barrel furniture, crafts, and art. You can see some of my work  here. I'm also a runner and although I have run a couple marathons, I prefer the half marathon distance, as it is a whole lot less painful, and do a few races each year.
How I'm qualified to be your handyman
Four Points Austin Texas Handyman ACHP
I have over thirty years of experience as a handyman in some form or fashion…
As a teenager I worked doing painting, at a hardware store, and generally tinkering with things at home. As a college student, I worked at a research center setting up and troubleshooting all manner of testing equipment, and throughout my engineering career I have been a hands-on type of engineer preferring to build and assemble my designs whenever possible.  Not to mention, I have been the resident handyman at my own home for the past 30 odd years.

I am a member of the Association of Certified Handyman Professionals as well as a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Illinois.
Why you should choose Four Points Handyman as your handyman service
  1. Tracy on Nextdoor
I can highly recommend Paul Sedory. He's done done great work for us & we are continuing to bring him back. We have ridiculously high standards! Husband can do the work Paul does, but doesn't have the time; Paul is a perfect fit for us!
In my 30 plus years working as a consulting engineer, one of the most important things I learned was that your name is your most important asset.  I have taken that concept to heart and applied it to everything I do, including how I run my handyman business.

I can be trusted with all of your home repair and maintenance needs, and can be trusted to be in your home, around your belongings, and around your family.

I will work quickly and efficiently to maximize your dollar, will strive do the job right the first time, and will provide you with excellent customer service.  But most of all, I will treat your house like a home, not a job site.

I primarily provide handyman services to Grandview Hills, River Place, Steiner Ranch, Twin Creeks, and Canyon Creek, but am willing to travel to other portions of Austin, Texas.  Feel free to call me to discuss the details of your project.

Have a great day!
Paul Sedory

Four Points Austin Texas Handyman About
I  grew up in construction and have always had a knack for fixing things mechanical and electrical.  I like working with my hands and find this kind of work very rewarding.  I spent some time as a computer tech, but eventually came back to my roots in the construction industry.  I worked for a company that renovated houses, condos and apartments for 15 years and developed skills in several areas including framing, drywall, painting, roofing, electrical and plumbing.  My true passion is woodworking and making things from pallet wood and reclaimed lumber.  I am a proud Texan and love creating things that show my love and respect for our great state.
